The Municipality of Pavia, headed by Mayor Luigi Gorriceta, received representatives from Swedfund International AB and Sweco International AB during a courtesy call on August 13, 2025, at the Pavia Municipal Hall.
The visit formed part of the final stages of contract negotiations for the Metro Iloilo Integrated Public Transport System (MI-IPTS) Project, an initiative of the Metro Iloilo–Guimaras Economic Development Council (MIGEDC) designed to enhance regional mobility and connectivity.
The delegation included Mr. Stefan Ekelund, Swedfund Project Advisor; Mr. Alexander Cochrane, Sweco Urban and Regional Planner; and Mr. Dejan Pijetlovic, Sweco Project Transportation Engineer. They were accompanied by members of the MIGEDC Technical Working Group.
During the meeting, Mayor Gorriceta affirmed Pavia’s readiness to work with MIGEDC and partner agencies to facilitate the implementation of the project.
