The Municipality of Pavia secured 2nd place in the Local Government Quiz (LG Quiz) held on October 8, 2025, at the SM Delgado Activity Area. The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) organized the event as part of the 34th Local Government Code Month celebration.
This initiative is part of DILG’s ongoing efforts to raise awareness and deepen understanding of local governance among elected and appointed officials, focusing on Republic Act No. 7160, also known as the Local Government Code of 1991.
Representing the Municipality of Pavia were Municipal Mayor Laurence Anthony G. Gorriceta, Municipal Budget Officer, Mr. Ramy P. Madero, and Local Treasury Operations Officer I, Atty. Mike Gabriel Guillem. The team secured an impressive 2nd place among five participating municipalities. The Municipality of Lambunao took 1st place, while the Municipality of Concepcion claimed 3rd place.
Pavia’s strong performance in the LG Quiz highlights its commitment to and understanding of the Local Government Code.
