The Provincial Awards Committee conducted an on-site evaluation of the Sangguniang Bayan (SB) of Pavia on September 19, 2025, as part of the 2025 Local Legislative Awards.
Mayor Laurence Anthony “Luigi” Gorriceta, Vice Mayor Edsel “Bibo” Gerochi, and SB members welcomed the evaluators, who reviewed the legislative body’s performance based on criteria set by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
The review focused on the responsiveness of the legislative agenda, transparency of documents, efficiency, citations, and capacity development.
In addition, the assessment underscored the importance of local sanggunians in promoting effective governance through legislation.
The Local Legislative Awards, spearheaded by the DILG, seeks to honor municipal legislative bodies that demonstrate excellence in lawmaking and governance.
