To strengthen preventive healthcare services and expand access to essential health programs, the Municipality of Pavia launched the Department of Health’s (DOH) PuroKalusugan initiative on November 24, 2025, at the Pavia Multi-Purpose Gymnasium.

The program began with registration and basic health checks, including the taking of vital signs, followed by opening activities and a brief Zumba session to engage participants.

The main segment featured the presentation of PuroKalusugan advocacies, led by Municipal Health Officer Dr. Carleone L. Borda, OIC PDOHO Clodaludo B. Divinagracia Jr., and a team of healthcare professionals. Key topics discussed included maternal and child health, nutrition, immunization, non-communicable diseases, tuberculosis and HIV management, WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene), and dental services.

Moreover, the Municipal Health Office coordinated with the Office of the Mayor to provide logistical support for the event, ensuring proper facilities and accessibility for participants.

The launch highlights Pavia’s ongoing commitment to preventive healthcare and community wellness, aiming to make essential health services more accessible to residents, particularly underserved communities.
