The Municipality of Pavia mourns the passing of Dino Hebrona Gorriceta, a respected community leader whose years of dedicated public service left a lasting imprint on local governance. He passed away on April 13, 2026, at the age of 57, drawing an outpouring of grief and gratitude from officials and residents alike. He was honored in a Necrological Service held on April 16, 2026, at the Executive Hall of the Pavia Municipal Building.
The Necrological Service was sponsored by municipal officials and employees, led by Mayor Luigi G. Gorriceta and Vice Mayor Edsel G. Gerochi, as a tribute to his enduring contributions to the community. A Holy Mass was also held before the service, officiated by Rev. Fr. Gil Mediana, and prayers were offered for the eternal repose of his soul.
During the ceremony, the Sangguniang Bayan formally extended its condolences through a Resolution of Sympathy and Recognition, highlighting his service as Punong Barangay of Purok I and as President of the Liga ng mga Barangay–Pavia Chapter. In a separate tribute, Board Member JP Peñol, representing the Philippine Councilors League (PCL) Iloilo, honored Gorriceta’s role in strengthening the barangay sector. Remembered for his resilience and dedication, “Kap Dino” leaves behind a legacy of integrity, leadership, and genuine service to the people of Pavia.
