The Office of Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) of Pavia, under the supervision of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), underwent an on-site evaluation on October 13, 2025, for the Search for the Most Senior Citizen-Friendly Municipality conducted by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO).
The evaluation aimed to assess the municipality’s programs, services, and initiatives that promote the welfare and active participation of senior citizens in the community. OSCA Head Judy Hollero, together with the dedicated staff of MSWDO, presented Pavia’s best practices and accomplishments that highlight the town’s commitment to upholding the rights and well-being of its elderly residents.
The activity was made possible through the full support of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Pavia, under the administration of Mayor Laurence Anthony “Luigi” G. Gorriceta, who continues to champion programs and initiatives that empower and uplift the senior citizen sector.
Through this evaluation, the Municipality of Pavia reaffirms its continuous support and recognition of the valuable contributions of senior citizens, ensuring that they remain active partners in local development and community building.
