The Municipality of Pavia officially launched its Christmas Product Bazaar themed “Masadya nga Paskwa sa Pavia: MSME Holiday Showcase” with a ribbon-cutting ceremony held on December 9, 2025, in front of the Pavia Livelihood Technology Center, Sumakwel Street, Purok IV, Pavia, Iloilo.
The ceremony was led by Hon. Laurence Anthony G. Gorriceta, Municipal Mayor, who delivered an inspiring welcome message emphasizing the LGU’s continued commitment to supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). He highlighted how the Christmas season provides a valuable platform for local entrepreneurs to showcase their products and engage with the community.
A message of support was also delivered by Ms. Yannie Magno, Senior Business Counselor of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), on behalf of the OIC-Provincial Director of DTI Iloilo. She emphasized the strong partnership between DTI and the Municipality of Pavia in empowering MSMEs and promoting local economic development.
Organized by the Negosyo Center – Pavia in collaboration with local MSMEs, the bazaar features a wide array of homegrown products—from delicacies and handcrafted items to innovative gift ideas. Notably, one of Pavia’s MSMEs featured in the event is already exporting its products, demonstrating the growing competitiveness and market readiness of local enterprises.
The activity champions the call to “Buy Local, Support Local,” encouraging the community to patronize Pavia-made goods during the peak holiday season. More than a festive market, the event reinforces the municipality’s commitment to fostering sustainable and inclusive economic opportunities.
By providing MSMEs with a vibrant platform for exposure and increased sales, Pavia continues to position itself as a dynamic hub of local talent and entrepreneurship.
