Programs highlighting local history, public service, and community development took center stage as the Municipality of Pavia commemorated its 105th founding anniversary on January 8, 2026.







Held at the municipal level, the Kaadlawan sang Pavia gathering drew local officials, punong barangays, department heads, distinguished guests, and residents, reflecting broad participation in the annual observance of the town’s founding.







One of the key segments of the program was “Kaaladlawon sang Pavia,” delivered by former Municipal Environment and Natural Resources and Tourism Officer Susan Presaldo-Jovero. The presentation traced significant historical milestones and developments that have shaped the municipality through the years.







During the program, Mayor Luigi G. Gorriceta and former Mayor and Congressman Michael B. Gorriceta delivered separate messages that focused on continuity in leadership, public service, and the municipality’s development direction.







In recognition of recent accomplishments, the local government conferred awards to LGU Pavia and Pavianhon Newsmakers 2025, honoring individuals and offices for their contributions to the municipality’s programs and initiatives over the past year.







Meanwhile, a wreath-laying ceremony was conducted in honor of Francis Burton Harrison, followed by the groundbreaking of the Adult Fitness Hub, a project intended to support health and wellness initiatives in the community.







The 105th Kaadlawan sang Pavia concluded with activities underscoring the municipality’s historical roots alongside ongoing efforts in governance, infrastructure, and community-based development.
