The Municipality of Pavia conducted a “Know Your Money and Digital Financial Literacy Lecture” through the partnership of the Municipal Treasurer’s Office (MTO) and the Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO), in support of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) “Know Your Money” campaign yesterday, May 18, 2026.
This was divided into two sessions: morning and afternoon. Barangay treasurers and municipal employees attended the morning session of the Know Your Money program, while in the afternoon, several market vendors, business owners, and tricycle operators/owners participated in the digital financial literacy session.
This initiative aims to promote financial literacy, budgeting and saving, digital payments and online banking, detection of fake money and scams, and financial consumer protection. It also aims to increase trust and confidence in the digital finance ecosystem and encourage wider use of digital financial services.
