Hundreds of day care pupils in the Municipality of Pavia received Christmas gifts during the 2025 Malipayon nga Bata Gift-Giving Program organized by the local government unit as part of its annual holiday activities.
The activity was carried out under the leadership of Mayor Luigi Gorriceta, with the support of Vice Mayor Bibo Gerochi and municipal officials, and was implemented across various barangays to coincide with the Christmas season.
Meanwhile, the program traces its beginnings to the initiative of former Mayor and former Congressman Michael B. Gorriceta, who introduced the activity as a simple Christmas outreach for young children enrolled in public day care centers.
Over the years, the initiative has been continued by the local government, maintaining its focus on providing gifts and basic items to day care pupils as part of the municipality’s social welfare efforts.
As the Christmas season begins, the local government underscored that the annual gift-giving activity remains part of its continuing programs for children, particularly those enrolled in early childhood education centers across Pavia.
