To help prepare students for the opening of classes, the Local Government of Pavia launched its School Year Starter Support Program with the distribution of free school supplies to public elementary pupils on July 22, 2025.
Spearheaded by Mayor Luigi G. Gorriceta, the program provided complete sets of school essentials to all public elementary learners across the municipality. The initiative is part of the LGU’s efforts to support education under the mayor’s BELIB GID Agenda.
In his message, Mayor Gorriceta emphasized the local government’s ongoing commitment to education. Aside from the school supplies distribution, the LGU also implements other educational assistance programs, including the Bulig sa Pagtuon Scholarship and full coverage of Department of Education-required fees for public school students.
The distribution activity was conducted in coordination with school officials and barangay leaders to ensure that all students received their kits ahead of the new school year.
