The Local Government Unit of Pavia, through the Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO), held a workshop on Step 3 (Vision), Step 5 (Goals and Objectives Setting), and Step 6 (Development Thrusts and Spatial Strategies) as part of the updating of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) 2027–2036. The activity was conducted on December 10–12, 2025, at Joel’s Events Place, Sta. Barbara, Iloilo.

This workshop marks a significant stage in refining Pavia’s long-term development direction, following the completion of initial data gathering and situational analysis. Participants worked on articulating a shared municipal vision, setting sectoral and spatial goals, and formulating development thrusts that will guide Pavia’s growth for the next decade.

The LGU invited Mr. Raymundo D. Palanog, LGOO VII / Cluster Head, Cluster I, DILG Iloilo Province, as the resource person. His technical inputs supported the planning team in aligning local strategies with national and regional frameworks, ensuring that the updated CLUP reflects sustainable and inclusive development principles.

The activity higlights the Municipality’s commitment to evidence-based and participatory planning, laying the groundwork for a responsive and forward-looking CLUP for 2027–2036.
