The Local Youth Development Office (LYDO), in partnership with the LGU of Pavia and the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK), officially opened Palarong Pambata 2025 on June 28 at Pavia Plaza, gathering young Pavianhon athletes for friendly competition.
Led by Mr. Marc Anthony J. Janeo, this annual event is dedicated to developing aspiring athletes from Pavia’s 18 barangays.
Hon. Gerard Peter G. Zaldarriaga and Hon. Rhia B. Sotomil offered words of encouragement to inspire the participants.
Barangay Captains and SK Chairpersons from all barangays showed up to support and guide their athletes.
Each team delivered a fun and energetic presentation that filled the venue with laughter.
The games officially began with teams raising their banners in unison under the guidance of their barangay leaders.
“Thank you gd sa mga parents, staff, kag Barangay officials sa ila dedication kag support, most especially gd kay Mayor nga padayon nagahatag sang suporta sa pamatan-on Pavianhon,” Mr. Janeo said, emphasizing the value of everyone’s support.
Palarong Pambata serves as a platform for young athletes to discover their potential, grow in character, and learn through sportsmanship.
