The launching of the “Pavia Paleng-QR Ph Plus Ready” Implementation Program took place today, May 21, 2026, in line with the national initiative of cashless transactions in public markets and transport terminals of the (BSP) and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
In response to this initiative, Mayor Laurence Anthony ‘Luigi’ G. Gorriceta, extended his utmost appreciation and gratitude to the sectors that are part of the implementation of the program, especially to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) for their unwavering support and assistance throughout the initiative.
He also added in his closing statement, “Hopefully, we will convince not just vendors but also you buyers—sa inyo mga suki—to use this digital way of paying in our stores to keep transactions efficient and safe from any danger that may affect our money, and to keep transactions smooth and fast when buying.”
The program was also attended by Vice Mayor Edsel ‘Bibo’ G. Gerochi, Sangguniang Bayan members, government employees, department heads, barangay officials, and most importantly, the market vendors, store owners, transport operators, and drivers.
This program was implemented with the aim of promoting awareness about the program among individuals, giving orientation, and helping them register and obtain their distributed QR codes as registered individuals. It ensures safer, faster, and more convenient cashless transactions among businesses and transportation in the Municipality of Pavia.
