To strengthen ongoing education and literacy initiatives, distinguished guests led by Milwida “Nene” Guevarra of Synergeia Foundation, together with executives from Coca-Cola Philippines, visited the Municipality of Pavia.
Vice Mayor Edsel Gerochi, SB Member Ariel Gerada, SKMF President Gerard Peter Zaldarriaga, Members of the Local School Board, and key department heads were also present during the engagement.
Mayor Laurence Anthony G. Gorriceta presented a data-driven assessment of the district’s literacy performance, covering results from the beginning, middle, and end of the school year.
Furthermore, the presentation included assessment data on learners’ reading proficiency and interventions implemented during the period.
Based on the assessment, Pavia recorded the highest literacy improvement among participating areas.
Gorriceta acknowledged the support of Coca-Cola Philippines. Local officials cited teachers, parents, and partner institutions in the implementation of literacy programs.
