March is Women’s Month—a time to celebrate the invaluable contributions of women throughout history and recognize their strength, resilience, and impact on society.
On March 21, 2025, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Pavia, in partnership with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), hosted a meaningful celebration to honor the legacy of women across generations. With the unwavering support of Pavia’s dynamic millennial mayor, Hon. Laurence Anthony “Luigi” Gorriceta, the event was filled with inspiration, empowerment, and joy.
Adding depth to the event, three remarkable Pavianhon women—Ms. Gina Comoda, Ms. Rowena Estipona, and Ms. Carina Magbanua—shared their powerful stories of resilience and triumph, proving that the spirit of empowerment knows no bounds.
A highlight of the celebration was the Retro Dance Competition, which brought a wave of nostalgia and excitement. Barangays Balabag and Pandac captivated the audience and claimed victory with their energetic performances.
This celebration was more than an event—it was a tribute to the strength of women past and present. As we move forward, let us continue to uplift, honor, and support the women who shape our communities and pave the way for a brighter future.
