Pavia Holds Training on Bookkeeping, Entrepreneurship, and Financial Literacy

To equip aspiring and existing small business owners with practical financial and business management skills, the Municipality of Pavia, in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) through its Sustainable Livelihood Program, conducted a Training on Simple Bookkeeping, Entrepreneurship, and Financial Literacy on November 24, 2025, at the Executive Hall in Pavia, Iloilo.

The program opened with a welcome message from Ms. Jocelyn M. Lagamo, OIC of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), who emphasized the role of financial literacy in strengthening community resilience. A message from the Local Government Unit of Pavia highlighted its continued support for livelihood initiatives and local entrepreneurship.

Resource speaker Ms. Lady Joy Haro provided guidance on entrepreneurship and business operations. She also led sessions on bookkeeping and financial decision-making, emphasizing the importance of accurate record-keeping and strategic planning for sustainable business growth.

Anchored on the theme “Sulong Kabuhayan, Tungo sa Pagyabong!”, the training reflects Pavia’s commitment to livelihood development, economic self-sufficiency, and inclusive growth.
