The Municipal Government of Pavia honored the dedication and service of teachers and non-teaching personnel during the 4th Municipal Educators’ Day held at the Pavia Multi-Purpose Gymnasium.
Spearheaded by the Committee on Education chaired by Sangguniang Bayan Member JP Peñol, the celebration gathered nearly a thousand participants for a day of fellowship and recognition.
Former Congressman Michael B. Gorriceta and Congresswoman Kathy Gorriceta graced the occasion alongside Vice Mayor Edsel Gerochi and other members of the Sangguniang Bayan.
During the event, Mayor Luigi Gorriceta delivered his Keynote Speech centered at the state of education in the municipality, highlighting the accomplishments and programs of Pavia LGU in the field of education.
The program also featured various competitions, including the Binalaybay Contest, Pop Song Competition, Poster Making Contest, and the Search for Mr. and Ms. Educators’ Day, which showcased the talents and creativity of Pavia’s educators.
The celebration was held pursuant to Municipal Ordinance No. 2022-09, which institutionalized the Municipal Educators’ Day in Pavia. Through this annual observance since 2022, the local government continues to recognize the vital role of educators in shaping the youth and advancing education in the municipality.
