To reinforce participatory governance at the local level, the Municipality of Pavia conducted the 2025 Civil Society Organizations (CSO) Conference on August 6 at the Municipal Hall.
The conference brought together CSO representatives, local officials, and development stakeholders to discuss the role of CSOs in local special bodies and review guidelines on LGU accreditation and council reconstitution. Vice Mayor Edsel G. Gerochi and MLGOO Ma. Socorro Joy D. Garcia delivered the opening remarks, followed by messages from Sangguniang Bayan members.
An audiovisual presentation provided an overview of the Local Development Council, Local Health Board, Local School Board, and the People’s Council. An open forum allowed participants to voice sectoral concerns and recommend solutions to current social issues.
The event concluded with messages from SB Secretary Gynnyn G. Gumban, MLGOO Garcia, and Hon. Ariel B. Gerada, chairperson of the Committee on People’s Organizations and Cooperatives.
