Pavia Fire Station personnel, led by FSINSP MARY ANGELIE B JALA, Municipal Fire Marshal, led the Kick-Off Ceremony for Fire Prevention Month 2026 with a motorcade attended by various partners and stakeholders. This year’s observance carries the theme: “Sa Pag-iwas sa Sunog, hindi ka Nag-iisa!“.

Fire Prevention Month began in 1966, when former President Ferdinand Marcos issued Proclamation No. 115-A, officially designating March as a month dedicated to raising fire safety awareness across the country. The observance highlights the increased risk of fire incidents during the dry season, as March is one of the hottest months of the year, with soaring temperatures and an elevated heat index. Historically, fire cases have increased from March to May, emphasizing the importance of vigilance, precautionary measures, and community-wide cooperation in preventing fires.

Through this annual campaign, the Pavia Fire Station continues to encourage residents to practice responsible fire safety habits and to be proactive in protecting lives and property-reminding everyone that in fire prevention, no one stands alone.
