The Municipality of Pavia held its first quarterly Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) meeting, which marked the council’s separation from the Municipal Peace and Order Council. The MADAC Office organized the meeting, which was led by MADAC Focal Person Mr. Alexto L. Barba, Jr., and took place in the Municipal Building’s Executive Hall.






The meeting was attended by key stakeholders such as representatives from the Pavia Philippine National Police, various local government offices, civil society organizations, barangay officials, and the Iloilo Province Parole and Probation Office No. 1. Under the supervision of MLGOO Ma. Socorro Joy Garcia presented the 2026 MADAC Plan of Action, which outlines strategic steps to strengthen the municipality’s anti-drug campaign.






Throughout the discussions, Ms. Florence B. Biyo, Supervising Officer of the Iloilo Province Parole and Probation Office No. 1, provided updates on parole and probation programs. Meanwhile, the Pavia PNP emphasized preventive strategies for reducing crime and maintaining community peace and order.
