The Municipality of Pavia, through its Office of Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA), continued its Elderly Filipino Week celebration with a vibrant showcase of talent, fun, and heartfelt recognition of its senior citizens. The event, held on October 17, 2025, at the Pavia Multi-Purpose Gymnasium, featured a Vocal Solo Competition, Ballroom Dancing Contest, various fun games, and a special ceremony honoring Pavia’s oldest residents.

The Vocal Solo Competition, Ballroom Dancing Contest, and games brought excitement and joy to the celebration, as senior participants proved that age is no barrier to passion, creativity, and enthusiasm. Their performances and participation filled the venue with energy and laughter, earning cheers and warm applause from the audience.

In the afternoon, a Recognition Ceremony paid tribute to senior citizens aged 70, 80, 90, and 100 as the oldest living seniors in each barangay. This touching moment celebrated their wisdom, contributions, and lifelong dedication to their families and the community.

These activities were part of the week-long celebration organized by the Municipal Government of Pavia, under the leadership of Mayor Luigi G. Gorriceta, through OSCA and in partnership with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO). The event reflected Pavia’s continuing commitment to promoting the welfare, dignity, and active participation of the elderly in community life.
