Mayor Gorriceta Leads 1st Quarter Peace and Order Council Meeting

Mayor Luigi Gorriceta convened the First Quarter Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC) meeting at the Municipal Building’s Executive Hall, marking the official launch of the council’s strategic planning initiatives for the year. The meeting highlighted the strengthening of local governance and further enhancing public safety and security measures within the municipality.

The meeting convened key stakeholders, including the Pavia Philippine National Police (PNP), Local Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and various local government offices, civil society organizations, and Homeowners Associations. Under the guidance of MLGOO Ma. Socorro Joy Garcia, the council reviewed existing peace initiatives to ensure a unified response to new challenges. Additionally, the MLGOO briefed members on updated COA and DILG guidelines to ensure transparency and the strategic use of peace and order funds.

During the session, the Pavia BFP presented its 2025 accomplishments and proposed activities for the 2026 Fire Prevention Month, while the Pavia PNP reported improved crime solution efficiency and peace and order indicators. These data-driven presentations will serve as the blueprint for the council’s security, safety, and disaster preparedness efforts throughout the year, reinforcing Pavia’s collective commitment to building a safer and more resilient community.
