In celebration of the Civil Registration Month, the Local Civil Registry Office headed by Atty. Jenny Sayat-Servidad joined the Opening Ceremony at Tamasak Arena Gym, Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo, earlier this morning.
The Philippine Statistics Authority Iloilo Provincial Statistics Office had organized contests, including Jingle Dance Contest, On-the-Spot Poster Making Contest, Infographics and Quiz Bee.
Proclamation No. 682, issued on January 28, 1991, declares every February to be Civil Registration Month in order to remind Filipinos of their obligation to register important life events, including births, marriages, and deaths, as well as decrees, legal instruments, and judicial orders that affect their civil status.
