The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) – Pavia Fire Station, led by Fire Senior Inspector Mary Angelie B Jala, officially kicked off the year with a courtesy visit to Mayor Laurence Anthony G. Gorriceta. This meeting was designed to reinforce the vital partnership ensuring a unified approach to public safety. By aligning their goals early in the year, both parties aim to strengthen the municipality’s disaster response framework and overall resilience.




The discussion centered on a review of the BFP’s 2025 accomplishments and the unveiling of a proactive agenda for 2026. Key highlights included the presentation of upcoming personnel training programs and strategic activities for Fire Prevention Month. These efforts are focused on improving the station’s operational readiness and expanding community-based safety education to better protect the residents of Pavia.




Mayor Gorriceta commended the BFP for their exceptional bravery and service during the previous year’s natural disasters, including several tropical cyclones and earthquakes. He reaffirmed the municipal government’s commitment to supporting fire safety initiatives, emphasizing that close collaboration is essential for effective disaster risk reduction.
