Forty newly installed streetlights were formally handed over by the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Pavia to Barangay Cabugao Sur during a ceremony at Sitio Red Fox, marking the completion of a municipal-funded project intended to address lighting needs in the area.

The turnover was led by the municipal government under Mayor Luigi G. Gorriceta, with the streetlights covering identified portions of Sitio Red Fox to improve visibility along roads and nearby residential sections, particularly at night.

During the activity, Mayor Gorriceta said the project forms part of the LGU’s ongoing infrastructure initiatives focused on delivering basic services to barangays. He noted that streetlighting projects are implemented based on identified community concerns.

Vice Mayor Bibo G. Gerochi was also present during the ceremony, along with barangay officials led by Punong Barangay Lalaine H. Caña and residents of the sitio who witnessed the formal turnover.

The streetlighting project adds to other barangay-level programs undertaken by the municipal government as it continues to roll out infrastructure support across Pavia.
