Remaining true to its mandate of providing programs and services to vulnerable sectors of society, such as persons with disability, the Local Government of Pavia under the administration of Mayor Luigi Gorriceta has allocated funds for the provision of assistive devices.
The assistive devices distributed were composed of 17 Adult Wheelchairs, 4 Pedia Wheelchairs, 2 Walkers, 1 Crutch, 1 Single Cane, and 2 Quad Canes.
Through the distribution of assistive devices, LGU Pavia exemplifies its dedication to fostering inclusivity and improving the well-being of residents facing disabilities and health challenges.
The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the local government for providing them the assistive devices.
The Provision of Assistive Devices aims to promote services to all types of PWDs to address disability prevention, rehabilitation, and equalization of opportunities. It is also intended to enhance the PWDs capacity to attain a more meaningful, productive, and satisfying way of life and ultimately become self-reliant and contributing members of the society.
