The Municipal Government of Pavia, through the Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO) and the Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) Technical Working Group, convened stakeholders, prospective investors, development partners, and representatives from national and local government agencies for the Presentation of the Proposed Land Use Plan 2027-2038 on July 2, 2026, at District 21 Hotel, Mandurriao, Iloilo City.
The proposed land use plan aims to guide the municipality’s environmental, social, and economic development by identifying appropriate areas for residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, agricultural, and environmental protection uses.

In his message, Mayor Luigi G. Gorriceta emphasized that the CLUP is a crucial strategy for shaping Pavia’s future through sustainable development. He encouraged stakeholders to actively contribute to the planning process to help build a resilient and investment-friendly municipality.

To add, Vice Mayor Bibo G. Gerochi underscored the importance of collaboration among the local government, private sectors, and the community, reaffirming the Sangguniang Bayan’s support for policies that promote responsible land use and long-term development.

The program featured presentations of the CLUP updating process, the proposed land use maps, and housing and urban development considerations, followed by an open forum where participants shared recommendations and insights.

The activity reflects part of the municipality’s continuing efforts to update its Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) 2027–2038 through coordinating with planning agencies and promoting responsible investments, which will serve as the blueprint for Pavia’s sustainable growth and development in the future.
