The local government of Pavia has directed all municipal employees to observe Purple Wednesday throughout March in line with the nationwide celebration of National Women’s Month.
Mayor Luigi G. Gorriceta signed Memorandum Order No. 2026-49 requiring department heads, officials, and personnel — including regular staff, Job Order (JO), and Contract of Service (COS) workers — to wear purple every Wednesday as part of the campaign.
The observance follows the national celebration led by the Philippine Commission on Women, which carries the theme “WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society” and the subtheme “Lead Like Babaylans, Filipinas.”
Municipal offices were also encouraged to support related activities and promote awareness within their respective units during the month-long observance.
