The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Pavia formally inaugurated and turned over 61 newly installed streetlights, along with a barangay drainage system, to Barangay Jibao-an, marking the completion of key municipal-funded infrastructure projects aimed at improving public safety and sanitation.

Led by Mayor Luigi G. Gorriceta, the inauguration ceremony highlighted the installation of streetlights across identified areas in Brgy. Jibao-an to enhance road visibility and ensure safer mobility for residents, particularly during nighttime. The newly completed drainage system, on the other hand, is expected to improve water flow and mitigate flooding concerns within the community.

In his message, Mayor Gorriceta emphasized that these projects form part of the municipality’s continuing commitment to delivering essential services and responsive infrastructure development in line with the needs of the barangays. He noted that both lighting and drainage initiatives directly address concerns raised by residents.

Present during the ceremony were Vice Mayor Bibo G. Gerochi, Sangguniang Bayan Member Ariel Gerada, and SKMF President Gerard Peter G. Zaldarriaga, alongside the barangay officials led by Punong Barangay Ana Lisa P. Huyong. Residents also attended the activity to witness the formal inauguration and turnover.

The completion of the streetlighting and drainage projects underscores the LGU’s sustained efforts to strengthen infrastructure support across Pavia’s barangays, contributing to safer, cleaner, and more resilient communities.
