On February 20, 2026, the Local Government of Pavia celebrated love and unity through its Civil Mass Wedding, “Gugma sa Pavia,” uniting 23 couples in a meaningful ceremony held at the Pavia Multi-Purpose Gymnasium. The event, now a cherished tradition in the municipality’s annual calendar, brought together couples from different walks of life to formally begin their journey as husband and wife.
Officiated by the Municipal Mayor, Hon. Luigi G. Gorriceta, the ceremony highlighted the true essence of marriage-binding two individuals as one for a lifetime. Surrounded by their families and friends, the couples proudly marched forward to exchange vows, marking a dream come true and a significant milestone in their lives.
The successful conduct of the event was made possible through the leadership of Atty. Jenny H. Sayat – Servidad and the dedicated staff of the Local Civil Registry Office, with the full support of municipal officials. Distinguished guests including Congresswoman Kathryn Joyce F. Gorriceta, Former Congressman Michael B. Gorriceta, Sir Jerry L. Dolutan of PSA RSSO VI–Iloilo, Vice Mayor Bibo Gerochi, members of the Sangguniang Bayan, Ma’am Jocelyn Lagamo together with Ma’am Edna Lizada of the MSWDO and Ma’am Lalaine Kay Decado of the Population Office also witnessed the heartfelt exchange of vows.
Through teamwork and strong community involvement, the “Gugma sa Pavia” Mass Wedding Program once again strengthened not only individual unions but also the spirit of togetherness in the municipality. The Local Government of Pavia extends its warmest congratulations and best wishes to the newlyweds as they embark on a life filled with love, compassion, and shared joy.
