The local government of Pavia conducted a culminating activity for 28 beneficiaries of the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) on Wednesday, July 24.
Mayor Luigi Gorriceta said the beneficiaries were deployed to work for 20 days in different offices of the municipal hall and were given a P10,043 salary, 60 percent of which came from the local government while the remaining 40 percent will come from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
The Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) is a government initiative in the Philippines designed to provide temporary employment opportunities for financially challenged students. This program aims to help them earn extra income to support their education expenses while gaining valuable work experience.
