LGU Pavia Celebrates 126th Philippine Independence Day

In celebration of the 126th Philippine Independence Day, the Local Government of Pavia, together with the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and the 18 Barangays of Pavia, held a flag-raising ceremony this morning in front of the Pavia Municipal Building.

With the theme, “Kalayaan. Kinabukasan. Kasaysayan,” LGU Officials and Employees led by Mayor Luigi Gorriceta and Vice Mayor Bibo Gerochi, were present in the ceremony. The Sta. Monica Parish Youth Choir rendered a doxology followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and the Pavia Hymn. A breathtaking intermission numbers from the Irong-Irong Dance Company and Ms. Daphne Jontarciego was also witnessed.

It was then followed by a Zumba Independencia Dance Contest participated by the Clustered Barangays and LGU Employees.

The celebration today demonstrated the enduring spirit of every Filipino. It honors the sacrifices made by our forefathers, celebrates a rich and resilient history, and casts optimism for a future in which the values of justice, freedom, and togetherness will endure.
