The Department of Health (DOH) – Western Visayas, in partnership with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Pavia and several DOH hospitals, spearheaded a Community Medical Mission on September 13, 2025, at the Purok 1 Gymnasium, Pavia, Iloilo.
The initiative brought essential healthcare services closer to Paviahanons, ensuring that quality and accessible medical care reach every sector of the community. Services provided included:
• Comprehensive medical consultations in various specialties
• TB and HIV screenings and counseling
• Dental and blood-letting services
• Routine and school-based immunizations, including polio vaccine
• Maternal health services
• Triage and general health screening
Through this partnership, DOH-Western Visayas and LGU Pavia reinforced their shared commitment to promoting community wellness and safeguarding lives. This mission also reflects DOH’s enduring advocacy: “Bawat Buhay Mahalaga.”
