The Pavia Farmers Agriculture Cooperative (PFAC) is the first irrigation service cooperative in Iloilo. PFAC is now a fully registered cooperative under Cooperative Development Authority.
They received their Certificate of Compliance on April 30, 2024. This is a big step for the farmers to strengthen their capacity and economic development through cooperative movement.
Mayor Luigi Gorriceta reaffirmed his strong support for the agriculture sector as one of the top priorities of his administration. He cited some of the major projects for agriculture funded locally and sourced out from national partner agencies implemented during his term of office. He also added that the local government is at all times more than willing to extend assistance, like capacity development, technical and financial support, to deserving associations who have signified interest in availing of livelihood interventions and take full responsibility for it.
