The Local Youth Development Office led by LYDO-Designate Marc Anthony Janeo, spearheaded the Mandatory Training for Newly-Elected SK Officials of the Municipality of Pavia, held at Robinsons Place Pavia on November 12, 2023.
The activity aims to strengthen and empower the SK as a useful conduit in community development, emphasize the role of youth in nation-building, mold SK officials to become better citizens, and encourage the involvement of youth in public and civic affairs, through the establishment of effective, responsive, and enabling mechanisms.
The event was attended by Ma’am Cocoy Garcia (MLGOO-Pavia), Sir Ramy P. Madero (Municipal Budget Officer), SB Member JP Peñol and Mayor Luigi Gorriceta.
The participants had a workshop and sessions on Decentralization and Local Governance, SK History and its Salient Features, Meetings and Resolutions, Planning and Budgeting, and Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees.
Mayor Gorriceta in his message, reiterated his support to all the undertakings of the Pavianhon Youth, as they are key contributors in nation-building and rebuilding. After the training, it was then followed by an Oath Taking Ceremony of the 144 SK Officials.
