Barangay Tigum secured Rank 1 in the 1st–3rd Class Municipalities category of the 2025 Search for Outstanding Barangay Tanod – Provincial Level.
The recognition was announced by the Provincial Government of Iloilo, citing the barangay’s dedication, discipline, and commitment to maintaining peace and order.
Punong Barangay Ferdinand A. Guillem led the team of barangay tanods whose coordinated efforts earned the municipality pride and distinction.
Following this achievement, Barangay Tigum will represent Iloilo in the Regional Level competition. Onsite validation is scheduled between August 25 and September 12, 2025.
The award underscores the barangay’s active role in law enforcement and community safety, serving as an example for other barangays to pursue excellence in public service.
