This barangay is home to Iloilo’s Construction Giants, the Region’s Commission on Audit, a haven of manufacturing of construction materials, liquefied petroleum gas, and home of the first lake community in Iloilo.

Ungka I is a barangay in the municipality of Pavia, in the province of Iloilo. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 2,514. This represented 3.57% of the total population of Pavia.
