Being one of the three remaining barangays designated for agriculture, this barangay is home to various farm schools and planting industries, hence, the STRATEGIC AGRICULTURE DEVELOPMENT ZONE OF PAVIA.

Pagsanga‑an is a barangay, in the municipality of Pavia, in the province of Iloilo. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 1,476. This represented 2.10% of the total population of Pavia.
