The Municipality of Pavia was named one of the Top 3 finalists for Iloilo’s Outstanding Ordinance on Good Governance for its “Bulig sa Pagtuon” Ordinance, which provides educational assistance to learners in the community.
The recognition was announced during the PCL Ugyon 2025 Conference, organized in partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government and the Provincial Government of Iloilo, on November 27, 2025, at the Iloilo Convention Center in Mandurriao, Iloilo City. Mayor Luigi G. Gorriceta received the award together with Sangguniang Bayan Members Joshua Philippe Gumban, Jo Jan Paul Peñol, Ariel Gerada, Kervin Matthew Zaldarriaga, Rhia Sotomil, SB Secretary Gynnyn Gumban, and MLGOO Ma. Socorro Joy Carcia.
Pavia’s entry was selected as one of the top measures from 12 participating municipalities, joining Tigbauan and New Lucena in the final three.
