The Municipality of Pavia has secured the 2nd spot among all 1st to 3rd class municipalities in Region VI for the Highest Locally Sourced Revenue in Real Property Tax (2023 Collection).
Pavia’s Municipal Treasury Office also achieved a Collection Efficiency rating of 135%, exceeding the annual target set by the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) for Fiscal Year 2023. This rating reflects high performance in the collection of Real Property Taxes, Business Tax and other Taxes, Fees and Charges, and Economic Enterprises.
The awards were presented on November 27, 2024, during the Regional 4th Quarter Convention of Local Assessors, Treasurers, and their technical personnel. The event, organized by the BLGF Regional Office VI and the Regional Association of Treasurers and Assessors in Region VI (REGATA VI) Inc., was held at La Carmela de Boracay Hotel, Malay, Aklan.
The accomplishment is attributed to the tireless efforts of the Municipal Treasurer’s Office, led by Ms. Caroline Teruel, and the Municipal Assessor’s Office, headed by Mr. Venancio Animas. Their dedication has been instrumental in achieving this milestone.
This recognition underscores Pavia’s commitment to financial efficiency and governance.
