The Municipality of Pavia gained multiple major citations at the 2025 Health Excellence and Leadership Award held on December 2 at the Iloilo Convention Center (ICC), underscoring its strengthened implementation of local health programs.
Pavia placed 3rd Overall and secured top ranks in several key categories, including:
• 1st Place – Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Implementation
• 1st Place – DRRM-H (Disaster Risk Reduction and Management in Health) Program
• 2nd Place – Mental Health Program
• PhilHealth YAKAP Accredited Provider
The recognitions were received by the Pavia Municipal Health Office–Primary Care Facility headed by Dr. Carleone Borda, whose team handled the technical and documentary requirements for the competition.
Participating offices—including the Municipal Budget Office, Accounting Office, MPDO, MDRRMO, and MTO—provided logistical and administrative support that enabled the timely completion of the award submissions.
Both the Executive and Legislative bodies of the municipality, led by Mayor Luigi Gorriceta and Vice Mayor Edsel Gerochi, expressed continued backing for the implementation and expansion of local health programs.
The awards position Pavia among this year’s high-performing local health units recognized for program compliance, systems improvement, and service delivery.
