The Municipality of Pavia earned the 2026 Seal of Good Education Governance (SGEG) at the conclusion of the 2026 National Education Summit held on February 19 at the Philippine International Convention Center.
Mayor Luigi Gorriceta formally received the award, joined by key education partners, including Dr. Melanie Villalon, Public Schools District Supervisor of Pavia; Mrs. Loyda Subong, principal of Pavia Pilot Elementary School; Mrs. Armi S. Jovero, principal of Pal-agon-Amparo Elementary School; and Mrs. Wilna Canonaso, principal of MGGSMS.
The SGEG recognizes local government units (LGUs) that demonstrate outstanding support for DepEd programs, improve access to education, enhance learner performance, and maintain good governance and accountability.
Pavia now joins an elite group of LGUs nationwide that have achieved the award, highlighting its commitment to improving education outcomes and empowering learners for the future.
