The Office of the Municipal Treasurer caters to the assessment and payment of business tax and other regulatory fees. Other components of this office are tax education and information, field inspection of private, commercial and industrial establishment, disbursements and cash receipts.
Functions of Municipal Treasurer’s Office:
- Take custody and exercise proper management of the fund of the Local Government Unit
- Take charge of the disbursement of all local government funds the custody of which may be entrusted by law or order competent authority.
- Inspect private and commercial establishment within the jurisdiction of the Local Government Unit in relation to the implementation of tax ordinances.
- Maintain and update the tax information system of the Local Government Unit.
